Experience
I worked as a Mental Health Therapist for the government of Manitoba, Canada for 15 years. I have worked with a wide spectrum of mental health concerns such as: grief, stress, addictions, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and marital conflicts. A significant amount of my work experience focused around the areas of depression and anxiety. I also have a significant amount of experience in the area of "Crisis Intervention," helping individuals and families overcome acute mental health difficulties.
Prior to going into Mental Health Counseling, I worked in the area of "Special Needs" for seven years. This experience included applying Behavioral Modification to individuals in a workshop environment and in a group home setting. While completing my Psychiatric Nurses Degree I was the recipient of the "Sandra Malchuck Memorial Award," an award given to the person who displayed the most compassion and enthusiasm when working with individuals with developmental needs.
My work passion and spiritual gifts are in the area of helping people find healing and hope in the midst of difficulties. This is why when my family moved in 2004, I decided to open my own counseling ministry, providing a professional and compassionate approach to individuals and their families for a minimal fee.
